From Schoolmates to Soulmates…A love story 25 years in the making!
Long before their magical Sikh wedding, Simrit and Simran attended the same school for 10 years in their hometown of Batala, in Punjab, India. Lining up and posing for their 1st grade class picture, they never thought they would be posing decades later at their own wedding. They weren’t friends, yet managed to have an occasional friendly interaction at different stages of their lives growing up.
Eventually, Her family moved to Pennsylvania in 2004 and he followed suite with his family 2 years later and moved to Virginia. It was meant to be! They connected via yahoo messenger after he stumbled upon her email in an old “slam book”. Slowly, they got to know each other with one email after another. While they don’t know how, where, or when they both fell in love. Simrit came into Simran’s life and then became it. In 2009, he said it first, but she felt just as strongly. The pull has been fiercely magnetic since and they finally got married!
